FPCC is committed to the integration of art and art making into all aspects of it's organization.  Following two public art series, our first Midway Studios project was a year long residency with local artist George Vasquez.  In July 2003, Fort Point Cultural Coalition (FPCC) engaged George Vasquez, a photographer who has documented Fort Point and its artists for nearly 25 years, as FPCC's first Artist in Residence. George is creating a visual record of the development of Midway Studios as three historic buildings are transformed into Boston's largest artist live/work complex. At the same time, George continues to photograph the Fort Point neighborhood and its artists.

In the Fall of 2004, as part of Fort Point Artists Community Open Studios, FPCC commissioned three public art projects addressing the future of the Fort Point neighborhood.  The Next Hundred Years is the current installation in the Midway Studios lobby.

In addition, FPCC has been fortunate to host design studios with students from the Boston Architectural Center and RISD.
